Conference venue

The conference will be held at King's College London, Strand campus, London WC2R 2LS. Directions on how to reach the venue are here.

We will be using the Great Hall for the conference and also the conference dinner.

Travel

London is served by several airports:

• London Heathrow
• London Gatwick
• London Stansted
• London City

From any of these airports you can take the train or underground (tube) into London. The nearest tube stations to the venue are Embankment and Temple.

Accommodation

There are many hotels in London in the vicinity. We are suggesting the following three hotels, which are all within walking distance of the venue:

• Strand Palace Hotel , London WC2R OJJ (5 minutes walk)
• Holiday Inn Express Southwark , London SE1 0JQ (20 minutes walk). For this hotel we have negotiated up to 30 rooms available at £140/£150 for 9th/10th November - to book at this rate contact Holiday Inn Express Southwark and say that you are booking for the WiPSCE conference. The 30 rooms are only reserved until 10th September as after that time the number may go down if there is limited take up
• Travelodge Waterloo, London SE1 8UX (23 minutes walk - no breakfast included)

Apart from the Holiday Inn Express, rates will vary depending on when you book.
