Program
- Timezone management: As the WiPSCE conference takes place in an online format this year, but still is open for participants worldwide, the construction of a program is a huge challenge with regard to timezone management. Given the experiences from the last WiPSCE conferences with the majority of the participants coming from central Europe, we have decided to optimize the program for these timezones. However, we have made sure that presenters from other parts of the world will be able to present their work at an acceptable local time. All times displayed below are in UTC. When you follow the link after the time in the program, you can convert it to your local time.
- Virtual Socializing: Coffee breaks and and other parts of the social program are very important constituents of every conference to network with other participants. At WiPSCE 2021, we will include virtual socializing in the online format using a tool named gather.town.

Further Information
- Information for presenters of full papers, practical reports and short papers: We have scheduled 15 mins for full papers, 10 mins for practical reports and short papers as pure presentation time. Each presentation (regardless of the type) is followed by 15 min of discussion time. We use the Zoom breakout room feature to replicate the discussion format of recent WiPSCEs in the online format where the first five minutes of discussion are in smaller groups and the rest is in the plenary.
- Information for presenters of posters: The poster sessions will be structured into two parts: In the first part (Introduction) one presenter of each poster will be asked to give a short advertising introduction within 5 minutes in the plenary session what the poster is about and why participants should meet the presenter at the poster in the poster exhibition. The second part, the poster exhibition, will be held on https://gather.town, a virtual environment, where the posters will be placed in a room and where the participants can walk around from poster to poster and meet the poster presenter(s) and other participants.
